Top Ten Tuesday : Most Anticipated Releases For The Second Half Of The Year

Hi guys! I’ve noticed that my last TTT post was in March! Wow! It’s been really a long time. So, this week’s theme is „Most Anticipated Releases For the Second Half Of The Year“ and here are the books I can’t wait to have.

ttt 1

1. This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab | July 5
„There’s no such thing as safe in a city at war, a city overrun with monsters. In this dark urban fantasy from author Victoria Schwab, a young woman and a young man must choose whether to become heroes or villains—and friends or enemies—with the future of their home at stake. The first of two books.“
– I got my copy (paperback edition) yesterday and it’s so pretty. Schwab had me at A Darker Shade of Magic.

2. It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover | August 2
„With this bold and deeply personal novel Colleen Hoover delivers a heart-wrenching story that breaks exciting new ground for her as a writer. Combining a captivating romance with a cast of all too human characters, “It Ends with Us” is an unforgettable tale of love that comes at the ultimate price.“

3. Nevernight by Jay Kristoff | August 9
„In a land where three suns almost never set, a fledgling killer joins a school of assassins, seeking vengeance against the powers who destroyed her family.“

4. Tales of the Peculiar by Ransom Riggs | September 3
„Wealthy cannibals who dine on the discarded limbs of peculiars. A fork-tongued princess. These are but a few of the truly brilliant stories in Tales of the Peculiar—the collection of fairy tales known to hide information about the peculiar world, including clues to the locations of time loops—first introduced by Ransom Riggs in his #1 bestselling Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series.“

5. Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven | October 4
„When the two get tangled up in a cruel high school game—which lands them in group counseling and community service—Libby and Jack are both pissed, and then surprised. Because the more time they spend together, the less alone they feel. Because sometimes when you meet someone, it changes the world, theirs and yours.“
– This is definitely one of my most anticipated books this year. All The Bright Places is my all-time favorites and Jennifer is one of the most humble authors/person I know even though I haven’t met her yet in person.

6. What Light by Jay Asher | October 11
„Sierra’s family runs a Christmas tree farm in Oregon—it’s a bucolic setting for a girl to grow up in, except that every year, they pack up and move to California to set up their Christmas tree lot for the season. So Sierra lives two lives: her life in Oregon and her life at Christmas. And leaving one always means missing the other. Until this particular Christmas, when Sierra meets Caleb, and one life eclipses the other.“
– I love Thirteen Reasons Why and this book sounds interesting.

7. Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff | October 18
„Moving to a space station at the edge of the galaxy was always going to be the death of Hanna’s social life. Nobody said it might actually get her killed. The sci-fi saga that began with the breakout bestseller Illuminae continues on board the Jump Station Heimdall, where two new characters will confront the next wave of the BeiTech assault.“

8. The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon | November 1
„Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story. Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store—for both of us.“

9. Blood for Blood by Ryan Graudin | November 1
„The action-packed, thrilling sequel to Ryan Graudin’s Wolf by Wolf. Death camp survivor Yael, who has the power to skinshift, is on the run: the world has just seen her shoot and kill Hitler. But the truth of what happened is far more complicated, and its consequences are deadly. Yael and her unlikely comrades dive into enemy territory to try to turn the tide against the New Order, and there is no alternative but to see their mission through to the end, whatever the cost.“

10. Heartless by Marissa Meyer | November 8
„Catherine may be one of the most desired girls in Wonderland, and a favorite of the yet-unmarried King of Hearts, but her interests lie elsewhere. A talented baker, all she wants is to open a shop with her best friend and supply the Kingdom of Hearts with delectable pastries and confections. But according to her mother, such a goal is unthinkable for the young woman who could be the next Queen.“
– Can I say that Meyer is the Queen of Retelling? I love The Lunar Chronicles and I’m excited about Heartless. I’ve heard that this is a retelling of Alice in Wonderland’s Red Queen.

I’d like to know your most anticipated books this year. Feel free to share yours below! ♥
