Top Ten Tuesday : 2015 Releases I Meant To Get To But Didn’t

Hi guys! This is my first Top Ten Tuesday post for this year. Yey! So this week’s prompt is 2015 releases that I meant to read but didn’t. A lot of awesome books were released last year and I’m glad I was able to read some of them like All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven, The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins, Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli, Winter by Marissa Meyer and A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab. But of course, there are still a lot of these awesome books that I meant to read/buy but sadly, I wasnt able to. Below is the top ten 2015 releases that I’ve included on my TBR for this year.

aa

Slasher Girls & Monster Boys by April Genevieve Tucholke
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
Uprooted by Naomi Novik
Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
After You by Jojo Moyes

bb

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
(Illustrated edition) by JK Rowling and Jim Kay
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
You by Caroline Kepnes

Since I wasn’t able to read these books last year, I included them on my TBR and To-Buy this year. The last three books on my top ten are my priorities because I have them already on my shelf and they’re just waiting for me to pick them up.

I’d love to know your top ten so comment your TTT link so I can check on them.

November 17: Top Ten Quotes I Loved From Books I Read In The Past Year Or So

“I am haunted by humans.”

– The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

“We do not remember days, we remember moments.”

– All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

„Sometimes we get so sad about things and we don’t like to tell other people that we are sad about them. We would like to keep it a secret. Or sometimes, we are sad but we really don’t know why we are sad, so we say we aren’t sad but we really are.“

– The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon

„We don’t even wish so much for fantastic or marvelous or outstanding. We will happily settle for okay, because most of the time, okay is enough.“

– Every Day by David Levithan

„What is an “instant” death anyway? How long is an instant? Is it one second? Ten? The pain of those seconds must have been awful as her heart burst and her lungs collapsed and there was no air and no blood to her brain and only raw panic. What the hell is instant? Nothing is instant. Instant rice takes five minutes, instant pudding an hour. I doubt that an instant of blinding pain feels particularly instantaneous.“

– Looking for Alaska by John Green

Weekly meme hosted by Broke and Bookish.

August 18: Top Ten Of Your Auto-buy Authors (no matter the genre or what it’s about… you’ll buy it from these authors!). If you want to get specific you can break it into genre especially since I know we did this topic in 2013.

It’s been a while! I’m excited to share to you guys my top ten auto-buy authors (in no particular order).

Processed with VSCOcam with hb2 preset• Jennifer Niven – Right after reading All The Bright Places, I told myself that I will definitely buy her next books.
David Levithan – Became one of my favorite authors right after reading The Lover’s Dictionary in 2012. I’ve read Every Day, Every You Every Me, and Six Earlier Days (prequel of Every Day).
• Stephanie Perkins – I fell inlove with her writing style (and to Etienne St. Clair) when I finished reading Anna and the French Kiss. I’ve read also Lola and the Boy Next Door.
• Michelle Hodkin – The Mara Dyer trilogy is one of my favorites. I hope she wil still write something related with the trilogy.
• John Green – One of my favorite authors of all-time. I’ve read Looking for Alaska, TFIOS, Paper Towns, An Abundance of Katherines and Let It Snow. I’ve been wanting to read Will Grayson, Will Grayson for a long time now but I can’t still bring myself to read it. I’m not sure why.
