Top Ten Tuesday : Favorite 2016 Releases So Far

Hi guys! How is everyone? I’m typing this while watching the EURO 2016 on TV. Germany is playing against N. Ireland. I’m not really into European Football (or any sports) but it’s fun watching the game and the fans. I’m cheering for Germany by the way. 🙂

Top Ten Tuesday : Spring TBR

My last TTT post was in January? Woah. How time flies. So, this week’s theme is quite simple, Ten Books on my Spring TBR. I don’t really do a monthly/seasonal TBR list so I will be sharing my top ten „priority“ reads.

spring tbr 1

A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab – The sequel of A Darker Shade of Magic series. Of course this is the first one on my priority TBR list. I’m so excited and terrified to read this one. Also, Schwab started writing the 3rd book.
Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas – The third book of the Throne of Glass series. I’ll be reading this with Joyce soon. I can’t wait to meet Chaol Westfall again.
Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs – The third and final book of the Miss Peregrine’s series. I’ve watched the movie trailer of Miss Peregrine’s Home for the Peculiar Children and it looks so awesome! What to expect? It’s with Tim Burton. I have some concerns though. I’m not the only one who’ve noticed the major changes and I really hope that it’ll not affect the whole story. I’m still excited to watch the movie on September.
Stars Above by Marissa Meyer – Collection of short stories of our beloved characters of The Lunar Chronicles. I just got my copy last week and I’m trying to control myself not to leave the one I’m reading right now.
Emotions by Arnulfo Cantarero – The author provided me a copy in exchange of an honest review. The story is intriguing and I want to read this because I haven’t read a lot of sci-fi books.

Spring tbr 2

Sunday’s on the Phone to Monday by Christine Reilly – I honestly don’t know what to expect from this book because I didn’t read the synopsis. I got a review request from the author and I agree because she’s so nice. Yep. There are some authors who cannot even include a simple „Hi“ or „How are you?“ on their email when sending a review request and it’s a minus for me. This book will be released on April 5 and I’ll be posting a review before the released date.
A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin – The third book from A Song of Ice and Fire series. I haven’t finished reading A Clash of Kings yet. I know! It’s been 6 months now. I’m still hoping to finish it this month. Ha!
All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr – I’ve been meaning to read this book for a while now and hopefully I’ll be able to read it this time.
Dark Places by Gillian Flynn – Gillian Flynn is one of my favorite Mystery/Thriller authors. Her stories are dark and so twisted that it will make you feel like you are also losing your mind like the characters on her books.
Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin – A historical fiction book set in 1956, Germany. I’ve just found out that this is a first book in a series. The sequel will be out later this year.

Have you read any from the books on my list? Feel free to share your TTT below. ♥

Top Ten Tuesday : Top Ten Books That I Want To Have A Movie Adaptation

It’s a freebie week! It means we can pick a topic we want and I’ve decided to share my top ten favorite books that I would love to see on the big screen. But I have some rules : The movie adaptation MUST stick to the book and there have to be NO MAJOR CHANGES.

vujb

1. Wonder by R.J. Palacio – Wonder is a very powerful book and I think it’d be great to have a movie adaptation of this book so those who are not into reading would also know the important message of it.
2. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins – Paris is one of my favorite places and that’s one of the reasons why i love this book. Plus Etienne St. Clair is hot! *smiling face with heart-shaped eyes*
3. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han – I love the family dynamic on this book aside from Lara Jean’s love letters. I’ve read that „the rights to Han’s book has been picked up by Will Smith’s production company Overbrook Entertainment.“ (source) so I’m looking forward to this.
4. Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma – This book made me cry. It has a very sensitive topic and it’d be interesting to know the reactions of people who’ve watched it if there’s a movie adaptation.
5. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher – One of the very first YA novel I’ve read. This is a very inspirational book. Last year, I read a news that Netflix is negotiating to adapt this book into a series featuring Selena Gomez. Honestly, I’m not sure if i like it because I’m not a fan of Selena and I’d prefer a movie adaptation than tv series.

6. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin – One of my favorite Fantasy/Paranormal series. Until now I can’t decide who can play as Noah Shaw if they’ll make a movie adaptation of this book.
7. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern – A brilliant book. Le Cirque des Rêves is one of the (fictional) places I want to visit.
8. Cinder by Marissa Meyer – A movie adaptation of The Lunar Chronicles would be awesome! I would love to see how Cinder and the other characters (especially Captain Thorne) would look like. Also the fighting scenes, Earth and Luna, hoverboards and spaceships, almost everything.
9. Angelfall by Susan Ee – I read this book last year and I totally enjoyed it. When I finished it, I looked up on the internet to check if there’s a film adaptation and it turned out that there were news back in 2012 about it. I’m not sure what happened so I hope they will still continue the production.
10. Every Day by David Levithan – A movie adaptation of Every Day is possible because most of Levithan’s books hit the big screen. Not as „famous“ as the adaptations of John Green’s TFIOS or Paper Towns but I think Every Day has a very interesting and unique story.

So that’s it! Do you also want your favorite book to have a movie adaptation? Feel free to share you thoughts!
