TTT is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish

Happy Tuesday! Today’s TTT is „auto-buy authors“. These are the authors who write books we immediately want to have. As in must-have-right-away even without knowing anything about the book! There are a lot of talented and amazing authors out there so I had quite a hard time listing just ten. I’ve also recently discovered new favorite authors but I didn’t include them on this list. Here are my auto-buy authors in particular order.
John Green
Green was one of the reasons why I ended up reading and loving Young Adult Fiction books so he is kind of special to me. The Fault In Our Stars is also my most read book.
V.E. Schwab
A Darker Shade of Magic was my very first read from Schwab and she became my all-time favorite author right after finishing the book. She’s a genius! Right now, I own 13 physical copies of her books including a French edition.
Becky Albertalli
I may not love all her books but Albertalli is definitely one of my auto-buy authors. She’s also the only YA author I have met in person. She’s the nicest and the sweeetest!
Haruki Murakami
The last Murakami book I purchased was Killing Commendatore which I still haven’t read yet. I don’t own all of his books but I definitely want to have them.
Caroline Kepnes
Kepnes became an auto-buy book after I read You. Unfortunately, Hidden Bodies was quite a disappointment for me but it didn’t stop me from getting Providence.
Sabaa Tahir
An Ember in the Ashes is definitely one of my all-time favorite series and I can’t wait for the fourth book! Funny story, I ordered A Torch Against the Night (sequel) while reading AEITA without knowing that I already own a copy of it. Now I have two copies but in different editions.
Nicola Yoon
I like the diversity on Yoon’s books. They are also easy and light to read.
Ruta Sepetys
Sepetys writes stories based on historical events I wasn’t familiar of and that’s what I love about her and her books.
Angie Thomas
Thomas‘ books are powerful and moving.
Leigh Bardugo
Leigh Bardugo has recently became an auto-buy author for me. My first read from her was Wonder Woman Warbringer. I actually bought Six of Crows duology before The Shadow and Bone trilogy. I’m hoping to finally read the duology this month.
How about you guys? Who are some of your auto-buy authors?
Have a great day!
Always,
I’ve only read Ruta Sepetys’ first two, but they both impressed me more than I thought they would from the summaries, so I’m looking forward to starting the third. Love when I find a reliable niche author in realistic YA.
My TTT.
I really need to read some of V.E. Schwab’s work. I’ve read the Six of Crows duology and I’d like to read more of Leigh Bardugo’s work! Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.
I’m not sure if my last comment went through, but John Green and Angie Thomas are excellent choices.
My TTT.
I should read The Sun is also a Star as I loved her first book. Nice list.
Kepnes is awesome – I can’t wait for more You books!
