Favorite Couples in Books aka My Forever OTPs

TTT is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish
and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

Happy Tuesday! Today’s topic is „Favorite Couples in Books“. It’s all about couples that we are  shipping so hard! Our one-true-pairing. I haven’t found a new couple that I can add on my all-time favorite list so I’ll be sharing my top ten all-time favorite book couples (in no particular order).

Delilah Bard and Kell Maresh
from Shades of Magic by V.E. Schwab

„I have never known what to make of you. Not since the day we met. And it terrifies me. You terrify me. And the idea of you walking away again, vanishing from my life, that terrifies me most of all.“

Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters
from The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

„I’m in love with you, and I’m not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I’m in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we’re all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we’ll ever have, and I am in love with you.“

Cress Darnel and Carswell Thorne
from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

„Captain?“
„Yeah?“
„Do you think it was destiny that brought us together?“
He squinted and, after a thoughtful moment, shook his head. „No. I’m pretty sure it was Cinder.“

Liesel Meminger and Rudy Steiner
from The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

„He must have longed for it so much. He must have loved her so incredibly hard. So hard that he would never ask for her lips again and would go to his grave without them.“

Eleanor Douglas and Park Sheridan
from Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell

„You can be Han Solo,“ he said, kissing her throat. „And I’ll be Boba Fett. I’ll cross the sky for you.“

Aristotle Mendoza and Dante Quintana
from Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz

„I wondered what that was like, to hold someone’s hand. I bet you could sometimes find all of the mysteries of the universe in someone’s hand.“

Annie Cretsa and Finnick Odair
from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

„Did you love Annie right away, Finnick?“ I ask. „No.“ A long time passes before he adds, „She crept up on me.“

That I shall say good night till it be morrow.“

Jamie Sullivan and Landon Carter
from A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks

„It wasn’t that long, and it certainly wasn’t the kind of kiss you see in movies these days, but it was wonderful in its own way, and all I can remember about the moment is that when our lips touched, I knew the memory would last forever.“

  1. Love this! When I think of my favorite literary couple, the first one that pops into mind is Henry de Tamble and Claire Abshire from Audrey Niffenegger’s novel, The Time Traveler’s Wife. I cried for days after finishing it!
