September 1: Ten Characters You Just Didn’t Click With
Another interesting topic. Characters are one of the important things to me when reading a book. If I didn’t feel anything for the character, especially the main ones, it affects the way I read the book. Except if the storyline is exceptional. Here are the top ten (in no particular order) characters I couldn’t click with.
Juliette (Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi) This girl is powerful but she’s not using her powers good. I’ve only read Shatter Me.
Teresa and Thomas (The Maze Runner by James Dashner) These two. I just cannot connect with them and I cannot connect them together.
Gayle and Peeta (The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins) I am not Team Gayle or Team Peeta. I’m Team Katniss and Team Prim.
Min (Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler) When I read the book, I cannot relate with her character because of the movies she loves.
Sansa Stark (A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin) She’s annoying for me and I just cannot understand why she is inlove with Joffrey. I’ve just read A Game of Thrones so probably I will like her after reading the other books in the series.
Sydney and Ridge (Maybe Someday) I like them seperately, not together.
Amy (Say What You Will by Camie McGovern) At first she came as a strong characters but it changed throughout the story. I also didn’t like some of her decisions and the way she treated Matthew in terms of his OCD.
Ceony (The Paper Magician by Charlie Holmberg) I’m trying to finish this book but everything feels weird and I cannot relate with Ceony.
Cath and Wren Avery (Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell) Both of them are enjoyable but I didn’t click with them while I’m reading the book.
Jacob (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs) Don’t get me wrong. I love this book. It’s just that I cannot relate myself to Jacob’s character.
